June 2007 - Martine To Star With Jason Donovan In New Soap
Martine McCutcheon will be working on a new project this year alongside Jason Donovan. The soap called “echo beach” will be based around a fictional surfing town called Polnarren in Cornwall. The new series is to be written by EastEnders lead writer Tony Jordan and will be filmed later this summer.
2007 - Martine’s To Star Opposite Patrick Swayze
Martine can be seen in two independent films this year. The first called Withdrawal where she stars along side Patrick Swayze. The other film is calles Jump, and along with these films she has also acted in a Miss Marple episode.

January 2007 - Soapstars are furious about Martine been a Judge
Apparently some of the contestants on Soapstar Superstar are angry that Martine McCutcheon is a judge on the program. It was reported in the sun newspaper that ” They reckon she shouldn’t be a judge because she’s just like them - a soap star ”
Martine was reported to say ” It’s going to be hard because my heart’s going to be with the performers. They need encouragement so I’m going to be the one cheering them on,” she said.”
October 2006 - Martine Mugged
Martine McCutcheon feared for her life after a hoodie yob leapt into her car and robbed her.
According to the Daily Mirror the thug grabbed the former EastEnders actress as she parked up to enter a shop and he ran off with her handbag. A source close to the 30-year-old star reveals she was “driving down the King’s Road when she stopped at a chemist and noticed the youth - when she returned to her car he was still hanging around and jumped in”.
The source added: “He grabbed her leg and for a moment she had no idea what was going on. His face was covered the whole time and grabbed her bag and jumped out. Two blokes gave chase but he got away.”
The bag contained a few personal items, Martine’s make-up and a TV script.
The star’s agent reported the theft to police and the Met confirmed no arrests have been made but their inquiries continued.
August 2004 - Martine to play Monica Lewinsky
Martine McCutcheon has been put forward to play Monica Lewinsky in an upcoming film.
The ex Eastender caught the attention of producers watching Love Actually and has been asked to play the White House intern. Currently in the early stages the only thing confirmed by the good people at Fox is Martine’s part in the film - so they must be pretty sure that she’s the girl for the job.
April 2004 - Martine ditches Los Angeles
Martine McCutcheon has given up on plans to become a Hollywood megastar.
The ex Eastender did have plans to follow in the footsteps of fellow Brit Catherine Zeta Jones. She jetted off to Hollywood straight after her role in Love Actually but has been brought back down to earth with quite a bump. The disillusioned cockney sparra said “people were shallow, they pretend they are interested in you then forget about you”.you have to wonder what she expected from Tinsel Town!
October 2003 - Martine’s snog with Hugh
Martine McCutcheon demanded retakes of kissing scenes with co-star Hugh Grant on the set of their new film Love Actually.
She revealed that she even used tongues to make her scenes with Hugh convincing, cheekily adding she went for a bit of method acting! Martine said demurely “I have to say it was an honour to kiss Mr Grant. I had to go again on numerous occasions because I didn’t quite feel I had got the moment right. There were tongues on some takes, when the director asks for tongues, you must give the director tongues’.
Modestly she went on to say “Richard Curtis wrote the part for me. He said they were trying to think of the girl that was real but was beautiful enough for the Prime Minister to fall in love with. I was kind of speechless.” Bless her cockles.

Former Eastenders actress and pop wannabe Martine McCutcheon has revealed that her stint in the West End production of My Fair Lady nearly drove her to suicide.
In her new book, Martine McCutcheon Behind The Scenes: A Personal Diary, the actress says: “My depression was so bad. My friends and family wanted to help but didn’t know how. I wanted to end my life.
February 2003 - Libel win for Martine
Martine McCutcheon has accepted substantial undisclosed libel damages over an article about alleged unpaid commission.
An article published in the Mirror in April 2001 (under the headline Martine’s Cash Tiff) implied she had tried to avoid payment of a debt by claiming she was more owed against than owing.
Martine was in dispute with former manager Claire Powell at the time. In the article a lawyer for Can International Ltd - agent for both women - suggested that Martine (who was not in court) lied about being a creditor to cover up the fact she owed Powell money.
Coming clean before the High Court the lawyer, the agent and the manager all accepted the article was defamatory leaving Martine singing all the way to the bank!

November 2002 - Martine McCutcheon signs six-figure autobiography deal
Martine McCutcheon has signed a six-figure deal to write a diary of her years in the spotlight. She has agreed the deal with publishing firm HarperCollins to write her “most intimate and honest recollections”.
The “personal diary”, to be published next autumn, will look at her life since finding fame in EastEnders. The book - which follows an earlier autobiography - will also feature her own snapshots as well as specially commissioned photos.
August 2002 - The Martine McCutheon Show
Martine McCutcheon is making a comeback, with the ex-Eastenders star due to return to the limelight with her own TV show.
Martine who was beset with health problems during her stint in My Fair Lady is in talks to star in a “Moulin Rouge meets Las Vegas” spectacular, entitled The Martine McCutcheon Show.
All the songs in the show will also feature in her forthcoming album, Musicality. Martine’s manager Jane Brenthas has said “We will be bringing a touch of Hollywood to Britain. She will have lots of big name guests coming from America.”
February 2002 - Martine triumphs at Olivier Awards
Martine McCutcheon has won the Olivier Award for best actress in a musical, even though she had to pull out of My Fair Lady due to ill health.
My Fair Lady also won the outstanding musical production and best choreographer awards. Her co-star, Jonathan Pryce, lost out on the best actor in a musical award as Professor Higgins to Philip Quast for South Pacific.
